Mexico Missions Trip
Mexico Missions Trip
Interested in being part of a one-week missions’ trip that will change the life of a family? Consider joining our Summer 2020 Mexico Missions Trip.
The Mexico Missions Trip is an opportunity to make a long-term kingdom impact into the life of a local family, local community, and the local church. I hope and pray you will consider joining us on our adventure this year. If you are interested or have any extra questions, please feel free to contact Chris at the church.
Next year we will be building another house for a family in need and will have several options for outreach to the community.
When: Summer 2020.
Agency: We will be working with one of our Partner Ministries One Life One Chance Ministries. You can find out more about this ministry at onelifeonechance.ca.
Where: San Quintin, Baja California is the location of the base. The secure base is a beautiful oasis caller Los Olivos a 5-acre parcel of land owned by One Life One Chance Ministries. It has an indoor kitchen, green grass, hot showers, volleyball court, soccer field, playground and a pool. For lodging we will be staying in newly built dorms.
Travel: We fly from one of the local airport in Vancouver/Washington to San Diego and then we have a 6-hr drive by chartered airconditioned coach bus to San Quintin Mexico. We may spend the day in San Diego for some recreation and overnight in a hotel and leave early the next morning.
Why: One Life is using the base in San Quintin to connect with indigenous ministries by being a neutral ministry site and using the property as a base camp for serving teams and the community. Providing shelter for the broken and needy, offsite outreach can be as large as a new home or a meal through community outreach. All of this is done through the local church.
Cost: $895 CAD – includes accommodations, food, a coach bus from San Diego to San Quintin and back, transportation in San Quintin Admin fees and a T-Shirt.
(Airfare, immunizations, group insurance, spending money, travel meals, hotel and excursions in San Diego are extra)
Fundraising: We will be putting together a few fundraisers, but the bulk of the cost will be yours.
Who: This trip is open to any adults and student (presently in grades 9-12). Youth or children under the age 15 must be accompanied by a parent.
Required: Valid Canadian passport, Bible, spending money, servant heart, great attitude.
Orientation Meeting: Fall 2019
